My parents met while my Dad was in the Military and stationed in England. My brother and I were both born there. I have four girls who graduated from Long Creek School. All the girls have been successful and I believe much of that can be attributed to a strong education that they received in Long Creek. I have worked at Long Creek School District for fourteen years. I have done everything from Coaching to working as a Classroom Aide, Preschool Teacher, Speech and Special Education Aide, Custodian and now working as the Cook in the lunchroom. Long Creek was a great place to grow up and raise my girls. With three generations that have been in the Long Creek Schools, I’ve always been interested in the success of our school and community and I believe we are continuing to build a strong educational environment for the students who attend Long Creek Schools.

I lived in Hawaii for most of my life and moved to Eastern Oregon about 4 years ago to experience living in a different place.  Since I grew up in the tropics, I am used to being outdoors year-round even when it rains.  I enjoy the winters in Eastern Oregon because snow is so beautiful on the landscape.   The summer climate allows me to garden throughout the summer; and then I can look forward to preserving home-grown food in the Fall.  Having rows of canned fruits and vegetables in the pantry is a pleasure and accomplishment for me.  Teaching at Long Creek School has allowed me to meet a community I may not have known otherwise.  In teaching, I also learn a great deal.
